What does the role involve?
As a segment designer, you will develop the design theme for the products in your segment that is derived from the design strategy. From concept to series design, you define the design character and all design details on the basis of selected projects. You will be responsible for transferring the central theme to other products through our long-term external design partners. Solutions in the areas of ergonomics and user interface will be worked on by internal and external experts and seamlessly integrated by you into the design process. Throughout the design development you will organize the exchange with the involved disciplines project management, marketing and engineering and the global locations. The time and budget planning of the design activities and the management of internal and external design resources are also part of your tasks. You will prepare the further developments of the formal design together with the other segment designers and bring it to series maturity in line with the design strategy. As a competent contact person, you will represent the Industrial Design topics in your product segment and be committed to the ongoing optimization of the design processes.

What you need is:
- Completed studies in the field of industrial design or comparable disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience; ideally with experience in the environment of hand-held products
- Outstanding design skills combined with a very good technical understanding of serial implementability
- Confident in alias to class A data creation
- Experience in managing and technically leading design projects and high interest in operational activities
- Organizational talent and ability to oversee multiple ongoing projects
- Self-initiative, structured, self-reliant work as well as result-oriented approach
- Team orientation and confident appearance in an international environment
- German language skills are a plus
